Calissa is a deacon in full connection in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church and was appointed to DUMC in 2019. Her primary passion and specialty in ministry is worship, using creativity to draw connections between people’s experiences in church and in everyday life. An avid singer, crafter, and writer, her love of the arts and background in marketing inform her ministry, inside and outside the church.
Calissa received her BA from Wellesley College and M. Div. from Boston University School of Theology. Outside of church, she likes to run, cook, enjoy podcasts and British television, and spend time with her daughter, Nora, and dog, Goliath.
Calissa oversees Worship and Communications at DUMC.
