CURRENT WORSHIP SERIES

Drawn Together: Sharing Our Stories

february 22 - APRIL 2, 2023

During the season of Lent, we trace Jesus’s journey to the cross. But sometimes, we also need to make our own way, creating a path that reflects who God created us to be. This Lent, we will draw our path through the wilderness, learning from the stories of Jesus and the stories we share with one another.

Common Questions

Nursery is provided for children ages 6 months to 3 years on Sundays from 8:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

There is a “cry room” available in the Narthex if a family needs privacy during the service. However, we welcome all kids during service even if they’re fidgety or chatty!

At 9:00 a.m., if your kids aren't quite ready to sit through the Contemporary service, or you only have an hour on Sunday, drop them off on the Preschool Hallway for a revised version of the 10:00 a.m. Sunday School lesson. Drop off is in the Preschool Hallway.

At 10:00 a.m., join us for Plugged In Sunday School. Kids will meet in grade level small groups for discussion and large group worship and Bible lesson. Drop off is in the Preschool Hallway (PreK - 3rd Grade) or the Arts & Crafts Room (4th - 5th grade).

We welcome anyone who wants to worship God at any of our services. You’ll find visitor information at the Welcome Desks at either entrance to the Sanctuary or across from the elevators in the entrance to the Wiley & Linda Stephens Activities Building.

Holy Communion is offered every Sunday in the Chapel Service (8:30 a.m.) and on the first Sunday of each month in the Contemporary (9:00 a.m.) and Traditional (11:15 a.m.) services. The United Methodist Church has an open table, meaning we welcome all who seek Christ. Gluten-free wafers are available.

Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the service time or Sunday School hour to give yourself enough time to park and enter the building.

Special visitor parking is available in the parking lot nearest Mount Vernon Road, but feel free to park anywhere in our parking lot. For occasional, large services, overflow parking and a shuttle may be available at the Dunwoody Library at the corner of Chamblee-Dunwoody Road and Womack Road. This will be communicated in advance.

When you arrive on campus, enter the building through the portico of the Wiley and Linda Stephens Activities Building or through the “front door” to the Sanctuary that faces Mount Vernon Road. Greeters are at most entrances to help you find your way. Click here for a parking map and here for a campus map.

We want you to be comfortable at Dunwoody UMC. Our members, visitors and guests come in all levels of dressiness, although the Contemporary service has a more casual atmosphere. In each service, you’ll see people in a suit or dress and others in jeans and sandals.

You’ll find handicap and senior parking on both sides of the church parking lot. The main elevator is in the lobby of the Activities Building. If you need a wheelchair, please ask a greeter or an usher. An usher also can direct you to the best places for a wheelchair-bound person to sit in the Sanctuary.

Tours are given upon request and as part of our Discover DUMC program. Discover DUMC is led by our clergy as an introduction to our church and the United Methodist denomination. Contact Anne Horton and Jenny Rolfes at hospitality@dunwoodyumc.org for more information.
We would love to talk to you about becoming an official part of the DUMC family. Please contact Anne Horton (anne.horton@dunwoodyumc.org, 770-394-0675 ext. 128) or Jenny Rolfes (jenny.rolfes@dunwoodyumc.org, 770-394-0675 ext. 136 ) for more information.

We look forward to speaking with you and welcoming you into our church family!

Contact Debbie Collins at 770-394-0675 ext. 111 or debbie.collins@dunwoodyumc.org.
