Visiting the Lands of the Bible and exploring our spiritual heritage is an exciting way to learn more about our faith and those who came before us. We sponsor several faith-based trips each year to see first-hand the lands that Jesus walked and the places he taught. Led by our clergy, these trips are supported by a professional travel firm and are open to members and the community.

Day Trips

Throughout the year, DUMC organizes various day trips to local venues as a means for fellowship, education and exploration of local attractions. Most day trips include transportation to and from the church, and lunch. Past trips include the Biblical History Center in LaGrange, GA, Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge, GA, and the Chattanooga Riverboat Cruise in Chattanooga, TN. For information on upcoming trips, contact Rev. Kathy Brockman at kathy.brockman@dunwoodyumc.org.

International Travel

Dunwoody UMC members and family and friends can experience the scriptures first hand on an international Bible tour. These clergy-led trips help grow your faith as your belief becomes stronger, deeper and everlasting. Trips are planned and managed through a professional group tour organization and fees vary based on each trip’s itinerary and travel costs. Informational fliers for upcoming trips are in brochure racks throughout the church, or you can find out more information by contacting Rev. David Melton at david.melton@dunwoodyumc.org.
