Dunwoody UMC offers several ministries and groups specifically for the men of our church and community. From small group studies to golf outings and volunteering at events, men of all ages and interests are welcome to participate. Each program provides an opportunity for Christian growth and fellowship.

Men's Groups

Men’s small group studies are offered throughout the year to help you grow in your faith, connect with like-minded men and enjoy regular fellowship. In addition to church-wide groups, some adult Sunday school classes also have events and studies specifically for men.

This ministry for men of all ages involves: Monthly breakfast meetings at Dunwoody UMC (Second Fridays from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.) including Bible study/discussion; quarterly golf outings, and; additional periodic golf trips/outings. Our mission is to provide affordable golf outings open to all levels of golfers, while building our relationships with God and one another through the game of golf. C.J. Stewart is an Atlanta native, a former Chicago Cubs outfielder and an Amazon #1 Best Selling Author (Living To L.E.A.D.: A Story of Passion, Purpose and Grit). He is one of the top baseball player development professionals in the country. As the founder and CEO of Diamond Directors, Stewart has over 22 years of experience and his firm has developed some of the game’s top amateur, collegiate and professional players.

Stewart grew up in one of Atlanta’s most dangerous apartment complexes, Hollywood Brooks, located on Hollywood Road. Although the odds were stacked against him, Stewart used the sport of baseball to overcome the odds and take his love for the game from John A. White Park all the way to Wrigley Field when the Chicago Cubs drafted him in 1994 and again in 1996.

Stewart and his wife Kelli founded L.E.A.D. (Launch, Expose, Advise, Direct) to empower an at-risk inner-city youth through the sport of baseball to lead and transform their city so they can become Ambassadors who lead Atlanta to lead the world.  For young men who complete L.E.A.D.’s Ambassador program, 100% have graduated from high school, 93% have enrolled into college, 90% have received college scholarship opportunities and 14% have entered the military or workforce. C.J. has been a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End since June 25, 2009.

Kelli Stewart was born in Atlanta and raised in Oglethorpe County outside of Athens, Georgia with her grandmother, Ms. Amy Lou Faust. Kelli graduated from Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, GA in 1996 and Kennesaw State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree from the Coles College of Business with honors.

Kelli and C.J. Stewart oversee two business ventures that they started together. Through Diamond Directors, they train and develop some of the country’s top amateur and professional baseball athletes. Through L.E.A.D., they train and develop some of Atlanta’s hidden treasures in Atlanta Public Schools.
