DUMC Staff Profile: Meet Asti White

As a part of our DUMC Staff Profile Series, we are excited to introduce you to Asti White today! Asti recently joined the team as our Youth Ministry Intern. We hope you enjoy getting to know Asti a little better, and be sure to say hello the next time you see him at DUMC!

DUMC: What are your main responsibilities in this internship?

Asti: Youth Ministry: Join our youth in exploring God’s love and grace through various studies and faith- forming activities.

Environmental Stewardship Team: Work alongside the stewardship committee to improve the Dunwoody United Methodist Church Energy Efficiency and Sustainability efforts.

Worship: Planning, assisting and working with the worship team.

Anti-Bias Anti-racism (ABAR): Continue to offer space for leaning into anti-oppressive values and practices.

DUMC: You are currently attending Emory University. Can you tell us more about what you are studying and your interests?

Asti: I am working towards a Masters of Divinity at Candler School of Theology and a Masters in Development Practice at Laney Graduate School. I am fascinated with the intersections of Pastoral Care and Social Justice, including Racial Justice and Environmental Justice and how they intersect in the Global Church.

DUMC: What do you like to do for fun outside of work and school?

Asti: I am a travel/adventure enthusiast. I also enjoy going on runs in the city, flying stunt kites, hiking and cooking.
