As a part of our DUMC Staff Profile Series, we are excited to introduce you to Aaron Hale today! Aaron recently joined the team as our Director of Contemporary Worship. We hope you enjoy getting to know Aaron a little better, and be sure to say hello the next time you see him at DUMC!

DUMC: What are your main responsibilities as the Director of Contemporary Worship?

Aaron: I will be leading the music and helping create the liturgy and flow of our contemporary services, as well as assisting in video editing for online services and sound set up.

DUMC: Where are you from, and where do you currently live?

Aaron: I was born and raised in West Texas, but have lived all over. Most recently, my family moved from Austin, Texas to Smoke Rise (in Tucker, GA). We are in love with Atlanta (and Dunwoody) and can’t wait to see what is in store for us!

DUMC: Tell us about your family!

Aaron: I have been married to my wife Heather for 13 years (next week!), and we have two wild boys, Arthur (10) and Golden (7). My wife is an amazingly talented graphic designer and just started working for a company called MetaLeap here in town. We also have two dogs, Peabody Littlejeans and Howie C.

DUMC: What do you like to do for fun?

Aaron: I am an actor and filmmaker on top of doing music, so I spend a lot of time writing and auditioning, as well as acting in commercials, tv and films. Other than that, I love hanging with my family and traveling as much as possible — when things are normal out there. 🙂
