Summer Fundays
We're mixing it up for summer with special Sunday School days. We'll meet at 10:00 a.m. in the Preschool Music Room each Sunday for special events:
- June 6 – Press Play Playground Kickoff
- June 20 – Father’s Day Ice Cream Bar
- June 27 – VBS Final Party
- July 4 – Independence Day , No Sunday School
- July 11 – “Stay Focused” Obstacle Course
- July 18 – Obstacles and Popsicles
- July 25 – Popcorn and Movie
- August 1 – Popcorn and Moving
- August 1 – Parent’s Meeting
- June 21-24 – VBS & God Squad
- July 21 – Club 45 Pool Party (4:00-7:00 p.m.)
We’ve updated VBS and God Squad this year to be in-person with appropriate social distancing guidelines. Kids will remain in age group cohorts, using physical distancing, and with masking and sanitation protocols as recommended by the CDC guidelines. We are happy to answer any questions about the updated format before registration. Because of these changes, we have also reduced the number of spots available, so please register early. If you have three or more children or have financial hardships this year, please reach out about a scholarship. Contact Jennifer Dees (jennifer.dees@dunwoodyumc.org) with any questions.
Register for VBS!
Registration is now open for Vacation Bible School! Children ages (rising) PreK to 3rd Grade are invited to a castle adventure—the Quest for the King’s Armor at Knights of North Castle VBS! This noble adventure includes exciting new music, amazing science, creative crafts, fun recreation, and memorable Bible stories that will help children experience God’s amazing strength.

God Squad is a camp geared toward teaching leadership, service and worship to students rising into grades 4-6th. The week includes games, fellowship, and missions on campus and off. This year’s theme focuses helping in your community!

Plugged In Sunday School
Join us weekly for Sunday School! Pre-recorded lessons are available every week on our Virtual Classroom. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, in-person meeting details are subject to change. Faith at Home
We love having your children with us, and we work to have as many opportunities to connect as possible. However, we know that out of all the waking hours of the week, we’re only going to get 1-3 hours to help your kids know about the love of God. In that light, we are happy to provide you with ideas, materials and techniques to help build faith at home! Each week in Sunday school, we provide some questions for discussion. We encourage families to talk about them at home! Check out our Facebook page each Monday for a summary of the lesson to help spark discussion throughout the week!
Wednesday Night
Wednesday night children's activities take a break during the summer and resume in the fall when school starts back!
Lil’ Lambs
This choir for three-year-olds is an introduction to singing, moving, creating and playing with emphasis on the preparation to participate in worship. Li'l Lambs is limited to 20 children, with new members joining in January and August each year. Singers must be three years old by August 31.
Performances vary.

Cherub Choir
Open to preschoolers and kindergartners age 4 (by September 1) through age 5. Cherubs are introduced to singing in their “singing voice," playing rhythm instruments, and what it means to be a choir. The children learn that through music, even the youngest of God’s children can participate in worship.

Carol Choir
Carol Choir is for first and second-graders. It builds on musical knowledge learned in Cherub Choir and encourages young singers through fun with music and participation in worship. Special events include musicals, concerts and the family Christmas Eve service.

Crusader Choir
The Crusader Choir develops the vocal and musical skills of children in third-fifth grade. Members begin singing in parts, expand their knowledge of musical notation and begin preparation for leadership in the worship services. Special events for the year include musicals, concerts and community outreach.

Children’s Tone Chime Choir
This beginning choir uses tone chimes, which are similar to hand bells, and is for third through fifth-graders. Music experience is helpful, but not required. Performances are at various services throughout the year.
