Dunwoody Kids Formation Coordinator

The Kids Formation Coordinator is a part-time ministry leader who plays an important role in nurturing the faith of children from Pre-K through 5th grade. Working alongside our ministry team, this person creates a welcoming, engaging, and Christ-centered environment where children can build meaningful relationships, grow in their understanding of God's love, and develop a strong foundation of faith.
This role is responsible for preparing weekly Sunday School and Kids Worship lessons that connect with the church's worship message, coordinating creative learning experiences, and helping plan and lead special faith milestones and events such as Vacation Bible School, Bible presentations, and Promotion Sunday. The Kids Formation Coordinator also serves as a leader during Wednesday evening programming and Sunday morning children's ministry, helping create a safe, joyful, and spiritually enriching experience for every child.
The ideal candidate has a heart for children's ministry, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers. A bachelor's degree in Christian Education or a related field is preferred, along with proficiency in common office and design software. This is a 20-hour, primarily in-office position with required ministry hours on Wednesdays and Sundays, offering flexible weekday office hours to complete planning and administrative responsibilities.
