The Nursery Ministries of Dunwoody UMC provide loving and safe childcare for children 6 months through 3 years old. Our experienced staff care for children in an age appropriate, Christian environment while you attend worship, Sunday School, Bible study or other church related activities.

At Dunwoody UMC, we aren’t just here for you on Sundays. One of our most popular and appreciated ministries is our weekday drop-in childcare program, Playtime at DUMC. All children are welcome to attend any day you need a little extra help meeting the time demands of your daily life. Also, Playtime at DUMC offers an excellent starting point for children just leaving mom and home for the first time.

Seeking a Weekday Nursery Caregiver (part-time or full-time, flexible schedule)

Dunwoody United Methodist Church is seeking an experienced caregiver with a loving, nurturing heart for our weekday nursery program. Make a difference in the lives of our youngest children by providing age-appropriate guidance as they learn about Jesus’ love and grow in their faith. The successful candidate is gifted in the ability to connect with children and their families, committed to safety, thrives in a collaborative, fluid environment, and balances a sense of humor with a steadfast dedication to serve the ministry and mission of the church. Must be physically able to frequently lift a child up to 40 pounds. Job Type: Part-time or Full-time, Hourly. Non-Exempt. Pay: $15+/hr depending on experience. Playtime at Dunwoody UMC

Playtime at Dunwoody UMC is a weekday childcare option for DUMC preschool and church families, as well as the community. We believe our staff provides the most nurturing and safe part-time childcare in the Dunwoody area and welcome the opportunity to show our program to new families. Please spread the word with your friends and neighbors. We are happy to give tours to anyone interested.

Monday - Friday

9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. - $35 per day
8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - $45 per day

(Must be 2+ years old to select the longer day option)

Reservations:

Reservations will open one month at a time. Reservations for the month are preferred when possible.

April Closing Dates

Playtime will be CLOSED April 3 through April 10 for Spring Break and Easter Monday observance. We appreciate your understanding of the need for a Playtime staff break too.

Price Adjustment

We appreciate your continued confidence in Playtime at Dunwoody UMC and the care of your child. Due to increasing costs of staff and supplies, we are adjusting Playtime rates. Effective Monday, May 22, 2023, the 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily rate is $40/day. The 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. extended day rate is $50/day. Early morning drop-in and Lunch Bunch rates will remain the same. We thank you for your understanding, and we promise to deliver the highest quality childcare for your child.
