Eric joined DUMC in July of 2024, having previously served large-membership UMC congregations in Brentwood, TN and Indianapolis, IN. Ordained as an Elder in full connection in 2015, Eric is originally from Michigan, where he attended Albion College before going on to Vanderbilt University Divinity School. He’s passionate about people, faith, and creating systems that support God’s transforming vision.
Outside of church, you can find Eric at a good restaurant, coffee shop, playing golf, cooking, hiking, or at a local park. His wife Meagan is in a leadership role at Georgia Tech, and they have a preschool aged daughter, Clara.
Eric will oversee several special projects for DUMC.
