Performing Arts program

Using both sacred and secular drama and music, the Performing Arts program enriches our understanding of what it means to be human and humane, to be caring and to be responsible members of a community of faith and the community at large. In this way, we glorify God. In addition to providing fellowship and entertainment, the program offers and encourages a rich, intergenerational experience along with opportunities in performance and support activities.

Upcoming Shows

It’s the 20th anniversary season of Performing Arts @ DUMC!

We’re kicking off the season with the feel-good musical comedy smash “Sister Act” in October. In December, we’re putting on a staged version of a radio play based on the classic holiday movie “Miracle of 34th Street”. We’ll finish the season with the play that started it all 20 years ago, as we revisit the timelessly hilarious “The Importance of Being Earnest.”
