Lent Walk:

Meet at Island Ford on the Chattahoochee River for a weekly walk during Lent. Rain or shine (or wind, cold or snow).

Phil and Calissa last year mapped out the distance from the Mount of Transfiguration to the Garden Tomb as 140 km. We encourage people to walk every day during Lent, that results in a “3K Every Day” practice - roughly 2 miles daily.

This is a great time to get outside, get some exercise, and reflect on the meaning and impact of the Lenten season.

I strongly recommend that you turn your phones on silent, leave the earphones at home, and be present in the moment.  

We will begin 2/25 and continue through to April 1 (no fooling!). We will take a break on March 25 in order to participate in the Great Day of Service.

Meet at 8:30 AM in the DUMC parking lot or join us at Island Ford by 9:00AM. There is a $5.00 fee or yearly pass available online.
