Spend a hot summer day kayaking with DUMC's Outdoor Ministry!

Join Jim Labus on the Chestatee River for a leisurely, 2.5-hour float.

Meet at Chestatee River Adventures outfitters, where we'll rent our gear. They will help us put in and take out, and they'll shuttle us back to our cars after the trip. Cost is $29 for a single kayak rental and $49 for a tandem kayak. This includes a life jacket, paddle, and shuttle back to our vehicles.

The Chestatee is very secluded and there are all kinds of wildlife that roam the mountains. Deer, turkeys, turtles, Blue Heron, Striper, Bass, Perch, Catfish and possibly a beaver are all likely to be seen.
