Men’s Ministry welcomes Jerry Carnes, the 11Alive “Why Guy” and long-time DUMC member, to the Fellowship Hall for a full southern breakfast and to hear stories of inspiration!

During Jerry’s three decades with 11Alive he’s covered the 1996 Olympic Park Bombing, the ValuJet crash in the Everglades, the 1994 flooding in South Georgia, and much more. He's served as the 11Alive Athens Bureau Chief, General Assignment Reporter, Investigative Reporter, Commuter Dude, and the Why Guy.
Jerry and his wife, Cady, raised three daughters at DUMC where they are active members. Jerry attends the Friends in Christian Growth Sunday School Class and has served DUMC on the Worship Committee, Missions Council, Communications Team, Prayer Team, and more!
