Dunwoody UMC provides a variety of education programs for children and youth to help them grow in mind, body and spirit and learn the important stories of our faith. From a warm and loving Nursery environment to an energetic Youth group, there’s a place for kids from 6 months to 12th grade to experience God’s love on Sunday mornings.

Check-in Procedure

For the smoothest check-in, click here to create your KidCheck account before arrival.

All children must be checked in at our KidCheck kiosk located in the Activities Building before going to their designated classrooms. Each child will be given a name tag with their location, activity, and any special needs noted.

The security code on the child’s tag will correspond with a separate tag given to the parent. Children must wear a tag for each activity they will be attending to ensure that volunteers know when they will be picked up. The parent is responsible for ensuring that their child is in the appropriate room with a leader at drop off.

Families are welcome to drop their infants and toddlers off in the Dunwoody UMC Nursery on Sundays during the worship and Sunday School hours. Our staff provides a warm, loving and safe environment with monitored dropoff and pickup procedures for our youngest members and visitors, age 6 months to 3 years.

Plugged In | K-5th Grade

Plugged In is elementary Sunday School that focuses on plugging kids into the power of God using the 252 Basics curriculum. Children participate in age-level small groups for half the hour then join a larger group setting for active, energized worship and story time. Our goal is for every child who participates in Plugged In to grow up knowing 3 basic truths: Wisdom: I need to make the wise choice, Faith: I can trust God no matter what and Friendship: I should treat others the way I want to be treated. These students follow a simplified format in the Summer months, but classes still meet.

Youth (6th-12th)

Youth can find a place at Morning Blend, the Sunday morning student ministry for sixth graders through high school seniors. We start with a large group gathering and break into smaller groups for discussion. We encourage students to worship with their families in the 8:45 a.m. or 11:05 a.m. worship services.

Morning Blend

Morning Blend is a time for DUMC Youth (grades 6-12) to come together for large group teaching and small group discussions on Sunday mornings. And of course, there will be games and donuts!
