CARD MINISTRY:Sends cards to members who are sick and bereaved, to the parents of newborns, and to newlyweds.
CARE NOTES:These are short booklets that give help in addressing the worries and cares of various life situations. They may be found at the Welcome Desks and are available to anyone without a fee.
MEAL PROVIDERS MINISTRY:Cooks and delivers meals to persons who have experienced death in the family and to those coming home from the hospital. Casseroles are taken to couples with new babies.
FLOWER MINISTRY:Re-arranges flowers used in week-end services and delivers these to the sick and bereaved. Rosebuds are taken to families who have had a birth.
VISITATION MINISTRY:Church members visit others in the hospital or who are confined to their HOME; visits are made to nursing and retirement facilities
PET MINISTRY:A special visitation ministry in which volunteer dog owners and their pets are trained to make visits and provide therapy for residents living in nursing homes..
STEPHEN MINISTRY:Provides intensive training in care-giving to persons willing to commit to completing the training and to give two years of service as a Stephen Minister. There is an interview process to help prospective Stephen Ministers explore this training and commitment. |
