Nursery Ministry

Welcome to the Nursery Ministry!

We realize that each child has a unique personality and that God has special plans for them. Our goal is to positively reflect the love of God to your child.

Be comforted that we are a "Safe Sanctuary" church. This means we screen all individuals who work with children and require them to attend a DUMC Safe Sanctuary training session.

Promise Kids is a club based  on the Fruits of theSpirit and  aimed at creating fun Christian fellowship for young children ages 2 years thru Pre Kindergarten.

Club members are called Promise Kids and meet weekly to learn more about the Bible and friendship. The Promise Kids Club meetings follow our Wedneday Night Dinner Schedule during the school year from

4:30pm-7:30pm.

The cost is $75.00 for 12 sessions per quarter.

Volunteers needed

Nursery Information Desk and Door Monitor Volunteers are needed Sunday Mornings from 8:45am-9:15 am, 10:00am -10:30 a.m and11:15am -11:45am.. Volunteers are asked to assist visitors and church familes with directions to the appropriate rooms for Sunday morning worship, program information,

and the monitoring of our nursery entrance and exit doors. Occasional help is

needed in the classrooms, sharing GOD'S LOVE through rocking, reading stories, singing songs, playing games etc .Volunteers do not change diapers!

Childcare is also provided for most  Bible Studies, Committee Meetings, Wednesday Night Programs and Special Events. Reservations are required

for most events.

nEW MOMS

As soon as you have your baby, have someone call and inform the church so that New Moms Visitation can deliver a DUMC Newest Member Stork to your yard. Upon pickup you will receive a special gift from the nursery committee. Contact Margaret Sale , 770-394-0675 ext. 122.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continuing through the 10:30 a.m. worship hour, our nursery is divided into the following groups:

                Crawlers & Wobblers 

                     Room 155 & 156

                    6 months-14 month

                            Walkers

                           Room 154

                 15 months - 23 months

                             Toddlers

                             Room 152

                 24 months - 30 months
