OFF-SITE

  • Atlanta Day Shelter Sorted and hung clothing donations in the clothing closet.
  • Atlanta Tool Bank Sanded and painted tools used by multiple non-profit agencies in their mission work.
  • Breakthru House Planted flowers, spread pinestraw, raked, and replaced their mailbox.
  • Brook Run Park - City of Dunwoody Cleared brush, pulled vines from trees, trimmed limbs to 7 ft. to allow a clear visual for passing cars.
  • Community Action Center Painted 2 bathrooms and tagged, priced, and hung many clothing items for the Thrift Shop.
  • Dunwoody Nature Center Served as hosts for Tree Hug Festival - set up, worked at exhibits and admissions.
  • Edgewood Painted 2 restrooms and installed a doorbell at this care center.
  • Furkids Fed, cleaned, and socialized cats at this animal shelter.
  • Global Health Action Landscaped the grounds of this agency. Pulled weeds, trimmed hedges, and raked leaves.
  • Interfaith Outreach Home Raked leaves, trimmed hedges, and cleaned gutters.
  • Jerusalem House Raked and bagged leaves. Spread mulch.
  • Keep North Fulton Beautiful Learned about recycling and participated in the recycling of various materials.
  • Project Open Hand Packaged 820 meals for people battling chronic illness.
  • Sr. Citizens Services - HOMES Raked leaves, trimmed hedges, cut grass, mulched flower beds, and cut tree branches at a needy senior's home.
  • Sr. Citizen Services - Meals on Wheels Delivered 6 routes of meals to seniors in Atlanta.
  • Sullivan Center Painted the exterior front of the agency building.
  • United Methodist Children's Home Landscaped the grounds of this home in Decatur.
  • Visiting Seniors Visited 5 homebound members of our congregation.
  • WCC(Project Extend) 1 Painted 3 rooms, including ceiling and trim, and installed a phone for a needy senior.
  • WCC (Project Extend) 2 Painted the interior of a home for a needy senior.
  • Wesley Foundation at GA Tech Installed new shrubs and maintained the landscaping and walkways of this organization.

 

ON-SITE

  • Cards, letters, and gifts Made diaper bag tags for St. Joseph's Mercy Care clients, colored bags and wrapped utensils for MUST, made cards for soldiers and firefighters, and colored candy bags for CAC children.
  • Grady Blankets Sewed blankets for babies at Grady.
  • Knit In Knit 19 Love Squares for NICU babies at CHOA.
  • Project Linus Made 32 fleece blankets for children facing trauma, serious illness, or otherwise in need.
  • Breakfast Cook, Serve, and Cleanup Served breakfast to over 500 of our volunteers before the Great Day of Service.
  • Cooking Made 12 chicken casseroles for families served by MUST Ministries.
  • Holiday Festival Filled and packaged 110 jars of soup and cornbread to be sold at the Holiday Festival benefiting Habitat for Humanity.
  • Sandwich Making Made and delivered over 400 sandwiches for the Community in Atlanta.
  • Dividing Grains Packaged over 900 pounds of beans, rice, macaroni, flour, and sugar for CAC clients.
  • Hospitality and Birthday Kits Assembled 47 birthday party kits for low income families and delivered refreshments to on-site volunteers working at church.
  • Agape Gift Bag's for Prisoners Collected hygiene items and other supplies for this prison ministry.
  • Diaper Bags 75 diaper bags filled for expectant mothers at St. Joseph's Mercy Care Center
  • HygieneKits for Veterans Assembled 120 hygiene kits for homeless veterans.
  • Jewelry Collection Sorted and boxed over 800 donated jewelry items for Christmas presents at the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children
  • Action Ministries Entertained 16 homeless youth in our church youth area. Played games, did crafts, and served lunch to these guests.
  • Community Garden Built and installed a community garden that will be used by our church preschool.
  • Potato Drop Bagged 20,000 pounds of sweet potatoes for the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
  • Stop Hunger Now Prepared and boxed 34,488 meals for hungry people throughout the world.
