Our Leisure Ministry offers a wide range of programs for both children and adults. Our purpose is to provide leisure activities to people of all ages in a healthy, fun, and spiritual environment. We strive to help all participants improve skills and gain confidence as well as help children learn to follow the general rules, cooperate with others through team activities, and gain confidence and self esteem. The goals of our Leisure Ministries programs are:
To foster new friendships while nurturing existing relationships
To introduce the community to Dunwoody UMC and offer our support
To teach Christian principles and good sportsmanship while teaching athletic skills; to develop Christian values while developing physical ability; and
To affirm the value of this program as a way to celebrate our faith.

NEW POLICIES THIS SEASON: PLEASE READ BELOW!
Coaches & Team Parent Volunteers:
A successful season for any team begins with the coach’s willingness to give of their time and effort. Coaches ONLY may request a co-coach to coach with and a practice day and time!( First Come, first serve basis) Up to 3 coaches will be placed on a team with a minimum of 2. Please register online before or after signing up your child!
Buddy/ Carpool Request & Non-Practice Day Request:
Every player (including coaches and team parent children) may request ONE (1) friend. Your requested friend must also request you as well. In the event that a situation should arise due to team full roster numbers- (Please be sure you also request a 2nd buddy and buddy requests the same night not to practice.) Only a coach may submit a whole team and Dunwoody UMC reserves the right to cap each league and team roster (8) appropriately. Should we still have issues we will go by date registered and/or coaches preference since he/she submitted the roster! We will certainly try to keep friends together and on same teams with coaches requesting, but we cannot guarantee that in all situations.
The Leisure Department of Dunwoody United Methodist Church is pleased to offer you the ability to register and securely pay for your sport signups. Sportability is our official link to online registration.
