PretzelsJoin us Thursday, June 7 as we tour the new Chamberlain’s Chocolate Factory and Café at 1575 Old Alabama Road, Roswell. Cost is just $10.

We will drive individually or car pool from our church. The tour starts at 9:30 a.m. To go by car pool, meet at the church at 8:45 a.m. If you drive individually or have a full car, we will meet you at the factory. Lunch will be at your expense at McAlister’s, 1425 Market Blvd (just off Old Alabama Road).

You will make your own chocolate creations to take home in addition to a gift bag of chocolates. We will also visit the new onsite café featuring chocolate drinks and desserts. A daily bakery case has many delights including a Chocolate Overload Cake and their famous mousse.

After we will attend the Dunwoody UMC Performing Arts production of My Fair Lady. Tickets for the performance can be purchased on line by CLICKING HERE or at the door.

The State Botanical Gardens of Georgia Tour

The Pryme Tymers Council is made up of representatives from each Senior Ministry of Dunwoody United Methodist Church. The Council coordinates the activities of the Senior Ministries and plans and implements educational and social events. Activities are open to all senior adults. Seniorcizers, a free, coed exercise class for senior adults has been in recess during the summer. It will resume Thursday, September 7 at 9:00 a.m. in the church Aerobics Room on the second floor of the Activities Building.

The one hour class is designed for all levels of senior fitness. There are low impact movements, stretching, balance and strength work. Chairs are provided for everyone as all activities can be performed sitting if preferred.

Join PALS this Spring

The Perimeter Adult Learning & Services, Inc. (PALS) session will start up again on April 2 and continue through May 14. We will be meeting in the Dunwoody United Methodist Church at 1548 Mount Vernon Road, Dunwoody, GA 30338. A fee of $45 covers up to three classes each Monday for 7 weeks or come visit for $8 a day. Spring classes include: The Seventh Continent: Antarctica, History Changing Epidemics and Disasters, Mah Jongg for Beginners, Should I Stay or Should I Go?, Mah Jongg for experienced players, Art & Architecture the Gothic Period, Significant Events in our History, Consulates and Bridge.
