Community Assistance Center

CACpicCommunity Assistance Center (CAC) brings together community resources to provide compassionate assistance to persons in need, prevent homelessness and promote self-sufficiency in the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area.

Community Assistance Center is the only agency in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody to focus on the prevention of homelessness and provision of basic needs to individuals and families. CAC offers financial assistance, food, clothing, holiday food baskets and gifts for children during the December holidays. Through our Youth Enrichment Program, we arrange for area youth who are in need to receive back-to-school supplies and attend summer camps and after-school programs. We also provide referral services to other agencies that can meet specific needs.

CAC meets critical assistance needs in a highly effective and timely manner... by providing immediate help to qualified individuals, without a lot of bureaucratic red tape and long lines.

Community Assistance Center, with multi-denominational support from religious congregations and the communities of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody, makes a difference in the lives of the less fortunate in the two communities we serve. While contributing to the increased stability of families who live here, we also, ultimately, contribute to the stability and improved quality of life for every resident of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody.
