How to Donate Items

 

Drop off your items in the bin located outside the Young Adult Area in the church activities building between February 1 until March 11, 2012.

 

For the March 2012 sale, items should be in good condition, clean and with all of the pieces.  Clothing should be Spring and Summer seasons, should be currently in fashion and clean free of stains or tears.

  1. After the donor contacts the church regarding items for donation, the donation volunteer will phone them to discuss items to donate (size, amount, etc.) and arrange a pick up time and date.
  2. If a donor has questions regarding the appropriateness of their donation item or its ability to be transported in a minivan or pickup truck, it is at the discretion of the donation volunteer whether this item can be donated. Often a drive to the donor’s house to inspect the item before agreeing to accept or not accept the item is necessary.
  3. The donation volunteer will have tax donation forms available at the time of pick up to provide the donor.
  4. All items must be bagged or boxed prior to pickup. If the item is large such as a crib or play set, it should be taken apart and the hardware attached via plastic Ziploc bags and attached to the item to keep all pieces together.
  5. Big items requiring a large amount of storage space (which is sometimes not available in the donation holding area) such as nursery dressers, changing tables, twin beds and their mattresses, nursery sets, may be pickup during the few days of sale setup instead of the weeks prior to the sale. This allows them to be transported directly into the sale area.
