Want to Build New Career Skills?

"Want to Build New Career Skills? Understanding Situational Leadership II and YOUR Development Cycle".

All of us learn new skills every day, especially those of us engaged in a job search. Successful job searches are based on our ability to develop and master the many skills that are new to most of us: networking, resume writing, interviewing, etc. Based on Ken Blanchard's highly successful leadership model, Situational Leadership II, this session will focus on the natural and predictable stages of development in learning new skills. Each development stage is unique in how it makes us feel and what we need to do to move up to the next stage. Understanding the SLII model will help you in your job search, professional development and in your personal life as well.

Ken Williams, a member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church, is a Senior Client Partner with The Ken Blanchard Companies. Ken has worked with several global organizations to help develop leaders at all levels and in multiple industries. Prior to joining the Ken Blanchard Companies in 2008, he worked as an Organizational and Leadership Development Strategist with Wachovia Bank. Ken has expertise as a consultant, facilitator, executive coach, diversity practitioner, and program and curriculum designer.

This program will be Tuesday, May 14 from 7 - 9pm in the Wesley Room. You will not want to miss it!

Crossroads Course for Career Transition.

Pre-registration is required. Register now at www.xroads.eventbrite.com

Step by step, this class will help guide you how to find a job if you are unemployed or anticipating a career transition. The Crossroads Course for Career Transition is based upon the "2013 Workbook" and the "6-Steps Small Group Series" developed by Crossroads Career Network (see www.crossroadscareer.org). This course is sponsored by career ministries of an interdenominational group of North-side Atlanta churches, all members of Crossroads Career Network. In the past 3 years, more than 350 have participated in this class and several have said that this class is more effective than commercial classes or professional services costing much, much more!

Our next class begins Thursday, May 2, at Dunwoody UMC in Dunwoody GA. The class includes 7 sessions, and you should plan to attend all 7 sessions. Each step assumes that you have successfully completed the previous step, so it is not a "drop-in" class. The schedule for the February class is:
