Happy New Year!

Why not make a resolution to spend your 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning fellowship time in the library? Our January/February art exhibit will feature the mother of last fall's featured youth artist. Thak you, Rachel, for paving the way for your mom, Margaret Gallagher.

This will be our largest exhibition yet--yes, even bigger than Bob Winton and his father's exhibit. Not only will the library be sharing some of Margaret's acrylics, but her artwork continues into the Children's Room where her 2005 mural decorates the reading corner. For those who have never been in the children's section, please drop by to see the "cabin" mural which included children's fingerprints to create the caterpillars and bees and handprints to form the flowers in the meadow. Each child's initials were included on their "contribution"—so, if your children participated, bring him or her with you to see how much they've grown.

Watch the Sunday bulletins for the date of Margaret's "Meet and Greet" while her artwork is on display. Thank you, Margaret, for being so dedicated to the library with your talents.

Our Library

LIBRARY SERVICE HOURS ARE: SUNDAYS, 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and WEDNESDAYS, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

All other days, the library is open to its patrons with book check-out done on an honor system. Simply sign the library card in the back of each item and leave card(s) in the box at the check out area. Then stamp with the date due stamp on the date due slip in the back of each item. Books may be returned in the receptacle under the book display window at any time.

The DUMC Library/Media Center has over 7000 volumes of book and non-book items. Items are loaned for one month. An outside depository for returning items is conveniently located in the hallway under the book display window. An integrated collection that allows all non-book items (audiovisuals) to be shelved along with the books, the library also has a "ready reference" section. If you're searching for something on Paul, for example, you will find cassettes, video, etc. located with the books on Paul. The History Room is located in the front of the library.
